In 2020, the FNB Wines2Whales Switchback was cancelled due to Covid-19; now, with all registered teams rolled into the 2021 event, the number of new entries available is limited and only those with the fastest fingers will secure their spot on the start line when entries open on 28 April at 09:00 (GMT+2).
Riders at the 2021 FNB Wines2Whales Switchback are promised a memorable ride that is packed with brand new routes and an extended network of singletracks that has been hand-crafted by the only team trusted to deliver #SeriousGEES around every turn: The Cape Trails team.
There are new trails on every stage and a few, of the too-many-to-mention, are Karwyders Contour, Rietvlei Magic on Paul Cluver Estate, Beaumont River trail, Lebanon’s switchbacks, and a whole new network of trails at Idiom Wines.
But they didn’t stop there. With great support from Lourensford Wine Estate, the Cape Trails Legends have made our MTB dream come true in the form of the Lourensford Ultimate – a 5km-long descent to the final finish line that’s packed with flow, turns, and more whoop-inducing moments than you could count.
For the same price as 2019 FNB W2W entries (from just R13 250), those wanting to take part should secure their entry on 28 April as soon as public registration opens. This special 2019 entry price is valid for 1 week after registration opens (unless sold out).
