Giant introduced its new FastRoad E+ EX Pro, a state-of-the-art, mobility-focused E-bike that’s ideal for fast, fun commuting and urban adventures. With an advanced new motor system, battery pack and control unit, it’s a versatile and comfortable E-bike that goes from city streets to country roads with effortless style.
In addition to its new E-bike specific technologies, the FastRoad E+ EX Pro boasts a number of features and accessories that give it a smooth and easy ride quality. It’s designed in a way that makes it easy to carry your daily essentials or load up for weekend adventures.
At the heart of the FastRoad E+ EX Pro is its Hybrid Cycling Technology, a system that combines electric power with human power to produce a smart, natural and powerful E-bike riding experience. Its power is generated by the new SyncDrive Pro motor, which helps riders climb steep hills, hold higher speeds, and ride longer distances.
The SyncDrive Pro motor delivers power based on a rider’s input and the chosen support mode. It features five support modes to choose from (Eco, Basic, Active, Sport, Power) and delivers a maximum support ratio of 360 percent. This means that, in Power mode, 100 percent of human torque input offers 360 percent pedal-assist power. It’s tuned to provide a quick and direct response to pedal input, delivering 80Nm of torque in less than 19 milliseconds.
The FastRoad E+ EX Pro’s Smart Assist technology gauges pedaling input and the terrain being ridden to determine the precise amount of power needed for a smooth and natural pedaling feel.
The new RideControl EVO display and control centermakes it easy to view riding data such as speed, distance, estimated range and battery capacity. This handlebar-mounted unit features aluminum casing that’s shockproof and durable, and it has a USB charging port. It can be updated wirelessly via Bluetooth, making it easy to stay current with the latest software.
The new integrated EnergyPak Smart compact battery contains 375Wh of energy. For longer rides you can equip it with the EnergyPak Plus Range Extender to get anadded 250Wh of battery power. The EnergyPak 6A Fast Charger makes charging quick, safe and efficient, and can charge to 80% in about 90 minutes.
The FastRoad E+ EX Pro is engineered with an ALUXX SL aluminum frame and fork produced in Giant’s industry-leading aluminum forging facility. This lightweight, durable chassis gives it a smooth, stable ride quality on rough roads and city streets. It also features a D-Fuse seatpost, made with a D-shaped shaft that adds compliance to smooth out the ride and help reduce fatigue.
The FastRoad E+ EX Pro features Shimano hydraulic disc brakes for added stopping power and control, plus Giant WheelSystems and Tubeless Ready tires for a smooth ride quality, better rolling efficiency, and a reduced risk of tire punctures. It also comes fully equipped with accessories including a headlight, fenders and rear cargo rack.
