While all eyes are on Europe for the 105th Tour de France race right now, you’d be forgiven for casting more than just a glance in the direction of the launch of the all-new Trek Madone SLR and SL bikes. Renowned for its ability to balance aerodynamics with ride quality, the new Madone is set to appeal to a far wider audience as the choice of rim vs. disc brakes opens up a whole new world of applications.
Turning up the Madone racing magic
It’s no secret that Madone has proven to be one of the fastest aero super bikes on the planet. But the real magic lies in that winning combination of aerodynamics, ultra-lightweight and superior ride quality. Other aero bikes may feel harsh and overly stiff, sacrificing ride quality for that aerodynamic profile. Madone, on the other hand, pulls out all the stops, giving you that full aero speed that takes on cobbles, climbs and descents and gives you the ride of your life. Nothing rides like a Madone, and feeling is believing on the new SLR!
Top Tube IsoSpeed for a sublime ride
The adjustable Top Tube IsoSpeed on the Madone not only smooths out the road in front of you; it diminishes rider fatigue, helping you stay fresher for longer. Riders can customise compliance based on rider preference, as well as the terrain. New Madone SLR offers 17% more compliance on the most compliant setting, and 21% more stiffness when you select the stiffest setting, compared with its predecessor. Rebound is reduced by 13% on this model.
Rim or disc brakes? You decide!
If you prefer undeniable stopping power without any penalty to a bike’s aerodynamic profile, Madone SLR’s disc brake version is the one for you – powerful braking: no compromise. Then there’s the lighter rim brake version where the brakes are moulded into the frame and hidden from the wind. Both brake technologies are fully integrated into the frame’s overall design.
Find your perfect fit
More stem options, additional bar sizes and ± degrees of bar rotation offer an even broader spectrum of possible race fits for both men and women, with an integrated aero cockpit.
Get into optimal aero race position
New H1.5 geometry puts the rider in the optimal aero race position on Madone SLR. Developed in partnership with the Trek-Segafredo and Trek-Drops pro cycling teams, this geometry hits the sweet spot for countless racers, balancing traditional aggressive race geometry with a position that more athletes can hold longer, with more comfort. Madone SL features proven H2 geometry.
Madone SLR for men and women
Madone SLR comes in both men’s and women’s specific models. Women-specific touchpoints like saddle, handlebar width and stem length are spec’d to fit most women better from the start. Madone SL and SLR bikes are now available at Trek retailers countrywide.
Project One ICON Paint Schemes on new Madone SLR – Works of art
Project One ICON is a collection of premium bespoke paint schemes that represents the highest level in artistry in custom bicycles. These designs are about more than colours that stand out: they’re filled with texture, depth, and mood. Each ICON showcases a mastery of brush and paint and reflects the passion the most experienced Project One artists bring to their craft. Available exclusively on the Madone SLR platform.
CHROME TOUR
White Rose / Red Chrome / Black Chrome
Chrome Tour is the ICON scheme of choice for Trek-Segafredo’s Tour de France professional race team. Its multi-dimensional pearly white base colour is complemented with oversized chrome red and black team logos.
REFLIPTIVE
Amethyst / Bright Green / Purple Flip
Refliptive is new twist on a coveted scheme of cycling’s past. Shades of amethyst and bright green flip to purple in changing light. Like a mood ring, if you’re always in a good mood. And with this paint, how could you not be? Reflective technology is also included in the Trek logo.
BRUSHED LIQUID METAIL
Brushed Liquid Metal / Dark Smoke Tint
No two brushed liquid metal paint schemes are alike. Beneath the glossy finish, the unique hand-scuffed undercoat has an industrial character with a deep, smoky tint.
BLACK GOLD
Black / Gold Metallic Flake
Up close, the black gold paint scheme is as classy as a tuxedo. From a distance, the metallic flake and the raised dimensional logos give it a different kind of beauty. Bling. Bling.
CANDY EMERALD GREEN
Candy emerald green is a scheme worthy of envy. It has a high-gloss finish, double green tint and dual candy green tonal logos that stand out on the frame. Green means “go,” but this green scheme means “go fast
PRISMATIC PEARL*
Prismatic Pearl / Trek Black Matte
Is every one of your rides a vision quest? Prismatic pearl is a psychedelic, mind-bending paint scheme on a different plane of consciousness. It morphs in changing light to show every colour and shade in the rainbow
