Joel’s Blog: Cycle Tour Bike

Ladies and gentleman, I would like to introduce to you a different kind of bike. Different in design, but no less capable of convoying me across the 109 km Cape Town Cycle Tour.

My bike has been made ready by the gents at Attitude Cycles, who really out did themselves.

Features

A carbon Trinity frame, with a custom design carbon fork, put this bike’s weight down by a few kilograms less than a normal mountain bike. However, I wouldn’t consider it a road bike! Since the MTB slicks, kind of differentiate the bike from that of a normal mountain bike, and obviously the solid rigid fork, I class this bike as a middle man between a road bike and a mountain bike.

Let’s focus on the wheels, since it’s the wheels that’ll make my ride smoother along the tar. The slicks eliminate any unnecessary friction, which in turn helps me to pedal faster. Then I have Stan’s NoTubes ARCH rims, which (even if I must say so myself) look really rad with the brilliant red of the frame.

For now, that’s all I’m going to give away!

Stay tuned for more blogs about how this bike handled the great Cycle Tour!

And good-luck to all those participating!
