In the year of lockdown and social distancing, riding together – online, on the road or otherwise – has never been more important. On 6th September 2020, the Women’s 100 returns with a rallying cry to female cyclists around the world: we might be riding solo, but never alone.

To conjure the collective spirit of the Women’s 100, ultra-endurance cyclist, writer and all-round riding inspiration, Emily Chappell, has been enlisted to introduce a simple concept she uses to keep riding, no matter what.
When times are tough, Emily thinks about the women who inspire her, their mental fortitude and their strengths, which she uses to keep turning the pedals. Since many of us will be riding the Women’s 100 alone this year, the idea of the Invisible Peloton has never been stronger.
