Cannondale have launched their all-new F-SI hardtail, here at the 2nd round of the UCI XC World Cup, in Albstadt – Germany. Featuring Cannondale’s brand new LEFTY Ocho shock, the bike is set to debut on the world cup circuit on Saturday the 19th of May 2018.
Manuel Fumic has also been set-up to pilot the new F-SI along the race course. With that being said, let’s take a look at some of the new features on this rocket of a mountain bike!
What’s New:
The new Cannondale F-SI frame comes locked and loaded. Having been constructed and refined from Cannondale’s Hi-Mod carbon fibre, the frame is as lighter than its predecessor. The brand has also included their SAVE chain stay technology, which is sort of Cannondale’s flexible approach to the material they build their hardtails with. The new frame also includes a Speed Release, 12mm thru-axle, and Ai offset.
A new highlight on the F-SI has been declared as Cannondale’s new LEFTY Ocho shock, as previously stated. There is a carbon version of the fork that comes included on the higher-end F-SI models. Brilliant stiffness is what Cannondale boast of with this revolutionary 100mm XC race fork. The shock also features and new Chamber Damper with cable lockout.
Overall frame weight for the new F-SI comes in numbers at 900 grams – the lightest mountain bike frame Cannondale has ever made.
