What does it take to win the first ever E-MTB World Championship? In short; a super-fast rider, by the name of Alan Hatherly, and a super-electrifying e mountain bike. Specialized’s S-Works Turbo Levo!
In late August of 2019, Mont Saint Anne in Canada played host to the first ever E-Mountain Bike world cup. With big names like Julien Absalon rolling up on the start line. Among the master-class line-up was 2018 U23 World Champion, Alan Hatherly from South Africa. Riding for the Specialized factory racing team, Alan championed the course on what is probably the brand’s finest electric mountain bike. The Specialized S-Works Turbo Levo – kitted out with all the right components to seal the winning position.
One week later we were able to get a closer look at Hatherly’s bike, and some of the capable components holding his Turbo Levo together.
